Why does Arup need a wind engineer?
Speaker Bio:
Andrew Allsop is an Arup Fellow in Wind Engineering, and Past Chairman and Fellow of the UK Wind Engineering Society: β’ Arup pre-university student 1974 β’ MA (Cantab) 1974-1977 β’ MESC University of Western Ontario 1980-1981 β’ Arup Wind Engineering Activity Leader 1986 β’ Chair of BSI Wind Actions sub-committee: New Generation of Eurocodes 2028(?) β’ 2025 trying to retireβ¦
Interests: wind climate around the world, structural and cladding loads, dynamic responses β buildings, long span bridges, telecommunications structures, large sculptures, codification, sustaining and developing new expertise.
