The ionic states of combinatorial phosphorous
- π€ Speaker: Shane Lawrence (Earth Sciences)
- π Date & Time: Wednesday 20 October 2010, 11:00 - 11:40
- π Venue: TCM Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
Phosphorus is a very abundant element and is especially important in the combinations it makes in natural products and products that can be produced from chemical combinations with bacterial products. Relevant to this is the ionic state of the phosphorous ion at the point of molecular combination. Some information on these ionic states is revealed by NMR investigation as will be discussed.
