Abstract
Mirror symmetry comes in three different flavours: one enumerative, one homological and one geometric. In this talk, I will focus on the last one, which originates in the work of Strominger-Yau-Zaslow and concerns dual torus fibrations.
I will give an introduction to Lagrangian torus fibrations, as well as a process giving rise to SYZ mirrors for blowups of hypersurfaces in projective space due to Auroux-Abouzaid-Katzarkov. Along the way, I will explain how scattering diagrams and the superpotential are used in the construction. All of these concepts will be illustrated in some simple guiding examples, like the smoothing of the ordinary double point and the cotangent bundle of S^2.
