Speaker biography Prof Rina Rosin-Arbesfeld, Vice Dean, Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University gained her MSc and PhD at the Tel Aviv University. During her early career Rina specialized in molecular aspects of retroviruses. Following completing her postdoctoral studies at the MRC -LMB, with Dr Marianne Bienz, Cambridge, she returned to the Tel-Aviv University. Prof. Arbesfeld’s laboratory has a longstanding interest in the molecular events that lead to the development and progression of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) one of the leading causes of cancer related morbidity and mortality. The research team focus on the Wnt signaling pathway that controls normal development and is involved in many types of malignant transformation especially in CRC development.
