Revolutionizing Connectomics using Generative, Federated and Holistic Learning
- đ¤ Speaker: Dr Islem Rekik, Imperial College London

- đ Venue: Online
Abstract
The brain is a highly complex network that can be represented as a matrix using multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), including T1-w MRI and resting-state functional MRI . This talk will provide an overview of prime graph neural network models designed for generating brain connectivity across various dimensions, including scale, time, and domain. Such works aim to revolutionize the field of network neuroscience (also called connectomics) by learning how to directly generate brain matrices while circumventing the need to acquire additional MRI data, a process that is both costly and time-consuming. The talk will also cover new trends such as federated connectome generation.
Series This talk is part of the Making connections- brains and other complex systems series.
