Abstract
Dear Colleagues 📣,
We are pleased to invite you to an exciting presentation by Dr. Li Zhang, a renowned clinical neurologist and the Academic Director of the Sleep Medicine Centre at Nanjing Brain Hospital. Dr. Zhang will share her insights from her latest research on Parkinson’s Gait Disorder, focusing on the use of wearable devices to quantify gait impairment in Parkinson’s disease (PD). 🧠
Presentation Title: Study on Parkinson’s Gait Disorder Based on Wearable Devices👩💻
Date & Time 🕑: Thursday 23rd of January at 14:00 Location📍: Electrical Engineering Seminar Room
Dr. Zhang has over 20 years of experience in clinical research, particularly in the areas of Parkinson’s disease and sleep disorders. Her research has contributed significantly to the clinical diagnosis and treatment, imaging, and translational aspects of these conditions. She has published more than 50 SCI papers and led several national and provincial projects. In this presentation, Dr. Zhang will discuss how wearable devices can effectively monitor and quantify gait disturbances, which are common in Parkinson’s disease.
Her study highlights how gait impairment begins in the early stages of PD and progressively worsens, providing valuable insights into early detection and disease progression. The findings could offer promising new ways to assess and monitor patients with PD in clinical settings.
This presentation promises to be highly informative, and we encourage all members of the department to attend. 🙏
