Seesaw Tectonics vs. Eustasy: deconvolving tectono-climatic signals in deep-marine siliciclastics
- đ¤ Speaker: Kevin Pickering - UCL
- đ Date & Time: Monday 15 February 2010, 17:00 - 18:00
- đ Venue: Harker Room 1, Department of Earth Sciences
Abstract
Kevin has been looking at marine sediment to tease apart geological signals that may have originated from either tectonic uplift and subsidence, and signals of climatic variation resulting in a higher global sea level.
Kevin has recently had his findings published in Geology and will be giving us an overveiw of these results.
As usual, refreshments provided. Everybody welcome!
