Abstract
Buro Happold Engineers are working with leading architect Jean Nouvel to design the extension to the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi.
Buro Happold Façade Engineers, part of the Specialist Consulting team within Buro Happold, are developing the complex cladding to the 180m diameter Dome and also the solid wall and glazing to the Museum galleries below the Dome, some of which rise up directly out of the sea. The designs have to meet demanding internal environment performance criteria imposed by the Museography designers, have high levels of security and be durable in the extreme marine environment.
