Abstract
A handful of scientists and some of the worldās top wildlife filmmakers have visited remote areas to record the wealth of wildlife that lives there and document the threats to its survival. Working in these difficult environments can test people and equipment to breaking point but the rewards are more than worth itā¦
Dr George McGavin, insectologist and television presenter on the BBC series āLost Land of the Jaguarā, āLost Land of the Tigerā and āLost Land of the Volcanoā, and consultant to David Attenborough, is coming to Cambridge on Monday 24th October to talk to CUGS .
McGavin is a dynamic and experienced speaker whose research has taken him from the tropical forests of Papua New Guinea to the caves of Thailand, and from the jungles of Belize to the savannas of Tanzania.
This will be an entertaining and interesting beginning to the CUGS speaker calendar; an event not to be missed!
