Abstract
As headlines paint hostile pictures of minarets in UK cities and niqaabs in western communities, we ask what the future is of Muslims in the UK. How do Muslims identify themselves in light of these issues? Does Islam still have a place in the UK?
Tariq Ramadan is Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at Oxford University, Senior Research Fellow at Doshisha University (Kyoto, Japan), and currently President of the European think tank: European Muslim Network.
