BIDW01 - The Physics and Mathematics of Boundaries, Impurities, and Defects

In the first lecture, we will introduce symmetry-protected topological phases (SPTs) and how to detect them from their boundary properties and symmetry fluxes, focusing on Hamiltonian lattice models in 1+1d and 2+1d.
