Abstract
I’ll start with the story of how I got into AI as a medical doctor, then share the story of OSAIRIS , which my best example of taking an AI application from concept through to clinical deployment. I’ll also talk about two pieces of work where I take my expertise in clinical AI applications and go in the reverse direction. The first is my work on discovery research using AI at Microsoft, and the second is my work on the STELLA project, where I am designing a new AI-powered radiotherapy machine for low- and middle-income countries where there is an enormous gap in radiotherapy for cancer control. This will include some insights on crossing Technology Readiness Levels as an academic.
All welcome. More details, including a booking link, are here .
