Abstract
Mental and physical health problems are often intertwined, with increasing evidence suggesting that sensitive care may play a role in both. Fortunately, programs such as the VIPP -SD have shown promise in promoting sensitive caregiving in a variety of cultures.
In this talk I will review neural, endocrine, and behavioural research suggesting potential mechanisms through which sensitive caregiving may impact mental and physical health, detail the LOVING intervention study that will explore these pathways, and present initial data concerning LOVING ’s acceptability amongst Singaporean mothers and fathers of young children.
The talk will end with an audience Q&A.
