Abstract
CpG islands are associated with roughly two thirds of gene promoters, yet how they regulate gene expression has remained poorly understood. I will discuss our recent work aimed at determining how chromatin states at CpG islands regulate gene transcription with a focus on the mammalian Trithorax group proteins.
