Abstract
The Wire is a popular HBO TV show and is arguably one of the best TV shows in the world. It highlights the social determinants of crime, poverty etc., and covers Social justice issues. Dr Sule’s talk will cover the role of pop culture in understanding biopsychosocial determinants of Mental disorders through films and TV shows. The talk will demonstrate this using ‘The Wire’ as a case study.
