Abstract
The strong interaction of submerged gas bubbles with sound, both in generating and scattering sound, has been used:- to explain how whales and dolphins hunt;
- to plan missions to other worlds;
- and to contribute to predicting and mitigating climate change, and the global shortages of food and antibiotics forecast for 2050.
