Abstract
Literary Theorist and Cultural Critic, Elaine Scarry, Walter M. Cabot Professor of Aesthetics and General Theory of Value at the Department of English, Harvard University, explores the possibility of vast injury to the world posed by US nuclear weapons and, simultaneously, the way such weaponry nullifies the one thing that might act as a brake on war making – democratic citizenship. Free and open to all.
