Abstract
This talk discusses the preliminary results found during a PhD research project examining potential limitations of existing medication packaging as well as current testing methods. In order to influence the design of medication packaging in a beneficial and measurable way, more concrete knowledge on how patients actually use packaging at home must be gathered first. Currently, data is being collected from patients that are being observed and interviewed in their homes. Since this research uses mainly qualitative methods for data collection and analysis, insights into the choice and use of methods and study design will also be given.
About the speaker: Christine Schneider is a psychodynamic counsellor, currently studying for her PhD at the Engineering Design Centre Cambridge. A full overview of her research project can be found here:
