Abstract
Abstract: The basic idea underlying my PhD thesis was that the more we communicate, the more we travel. Agent-based modelling is a new method of social simulation. In this talk, I will explain what I did and the key results. I will finish with a few tips about successfully completing a PhD.
Biography: Lynne Hamill was a Microsoft-sponsored PhD student from 2006 to 2009. An economist by training and profession, previously she worked in the UK civil service and academia.
