Abstract
The library of Archbishop Matthew Parker (1504-1575), at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, was assembled to justify the political and religious reforms of Queen Elizabeth. Join Dr Christopher de Hamel as he discusses the collection, which includes many of the oldest illuminated manuscripts in England, such as the 6th century Gospels of Saint Augustine and the great Bible of Bury St Edmunds.
