Online experiments on improving residential energy efficiency

Abstract
Tobias Graml is a member of the Bits-to-Energy Lab of the ETH Zurich. The mission of the Bit-to-Energy Lab is to combine information technology and behavioral sciences to stimulate energy conservation, efficiency, and sustainability. Together with Claire-Michel Loock, Tobias currently conducts a large scale online experiment with customers of an Austrian utility company.
The research goals of the online experiment are to examine the effects of normative feedback, projections and goal setting on residential energy consumption.
In his talk Tobias will share his insights into setting up, conducting and analyzing large scale online experiments.
