Measuring new particle masses at the LHC

Abstract
Many models beyond the standard model (BSM) contain an invisible (no colour and electromagnetic charge) and stable particle, which might be a dark matter of the Universe. If the BSM particles are produced at the LHC , the event may contain invisible particles. Because the invisible particles carry some information away from the event, extracting the information of underlying theory will be not straightforward. In this talk, I will give a brief review of mass measurement methods of BSM particles at the LHC , and introduce recent progress.
Series This talk is part of the HEP phenomenology joint Cavendish-DAMTP seminar series.
