Abstract
Mirage is a a high-performance operating system that compiles functional code written in OCaml directly into microkernels that run as close to the bare metal system as possible. Simplicity is a prime goal, and in this talk I will give a brief overview and describe the architecture of the runtime, from memory model to concurrency to I/O. The intention is to explore the scope for integrating verification techniques, at both the language level and runtime level. More information on the project is available at www.openmirage.org
