Abstract
This presentation will investigate a practical software defined radio as used in consumer products today and give the audience an appreciation of its architecture and programming model, the design trade-offs made that led to that architecture, and why such an approach is expected to become the norm over the next decade.

After graduating with a BEng & a subsequent MEng in Electronic, Communication, and Computer Systems Engineering, Simon has spent his career in the Digital Broadcasting arena, initially designing products for an OEM , then supporting chipsets for semiconductor companies before joining Imagination to promote their Intellectual Property (IP) solutions.”
