Abstract
Fuel poverty is getting worse, despite the Government’s legal oblication to eradicate it by November 2016. Whilst the main cause of this growth is rising fuel prices, the solution is to improve the energy efficiency of the housing stock. This provides useful synergies with climate change mitigation policies. The lecture, based on Brenda’s recent book of the same name, will examine these challenges and suggest some solutions. The issues related to different funding streams will be discussed.
