Abstract
The presentation will give a pictorial account of Cape Town to the Karoo and technical developments that have taken place leading to our demonstrator for the SKA bid. South Africa and Australia are the two remaining countries bidding to host the SKA and both are building 10% demonstrators. Some of the technical issues and science will be presented informally in this talk
