Abstract
Reducing wasteful consumption in the NHS is not just a matter of sustainable estates management, it goes to the heart of clinical care. The Green Nephrology programme demonstrates how engaging a whole specialty in sustainable healthcare can motivate staff, save money and improve patient care. The Sustainable Healthcare Education network is supporting educators and students to integrate sustainability into medical student teaching.
