Abstract
The direct and indirect impact of IT on our environment, including the development of programs, policies, and initiatives to mediate some of the challenges posed. So, achieving environmental sustainability, economic viability and improved system performance/use, while abiding by social and ethical responsibilities. It naturally includes the economics of energy efficiency, and the total cost of ownership, with research in this area focused on the fundamentals of using resources efficiently.
