Abstract
Learning to become a teacher is a very complex, stressful process. As part of a Gatsby funded research project we have been investigating the lives and experiences of pre – service and early career teachers. The multiple methods study reported on at the seminar draws on Perfectionism literature and discusses the findings of a survey of ~ 400 pre-service teachers on primary and secondary Faculty partnership PGCE courses, and the analysis of the reflective blogs of a subsample of secondary science novices.
