Abstract
Tim Hunt will talk about his life in science; a journey of exploration and discovery that takes a wandering path from red blood cells and the synthesis of haemoglobin to cell division and its control. Tiny hints and clues along the way cause mid-course corrections, and encounters after lunches in Greece and over bicycles in Cambridge prove to have decisive consequences. Perhaps the overall conclusion is that it’s important, indeed vital, to experiment.
Admission is free for everyone and there will also be a free drinks reception after the talk.
