Abstract
Solution-Focused Counselling (SFC)
This short-term, action-oriented approach focuses on possible solutions instead of delving into the clientβs past and presenting problems. It contends that insight is not necessary in the process of change. Rather the emphasis is on positive goal formulation in a person-centered, strengths-based counselling manner. Interventions in SFC can include the use of compliments, letters, and the miracle question.
