Abstract
Dr Farzin Deravi and Dr Chee Siang Ang will present recent work at the University of Kent’s School of Engineering and Digital Arts in the use of novel sensor modalities and associated pattern recognition techniques with application to games and assertive technologies, leading to pioneering work on the brain-computer interface and use of facial gestures.
Discussion may provide some insights on how the underlying data management and serious games technologies might contribute to improved decision and training aids for complex service systems where users / maintainers need to assimilate large data sets found in complex (asset) support systems.
