Mapping Epithermal Gold Deposits on the Island of Milos, Greece, using an integrated Spectral Reflectance and Spectral Emissivity Dataset
- đ¤ Speaker: Dr Graham Ferrier (University of Hull)
- đ Date & Time: Monday 18 July 2011, 15:00 - 16:00
- đ Venue: British Antarctic Survey, Room 187
Abstract
The aim of the project is to investigate the potential of Spectral emissivity and Thermal remote sensing data, integrated with field and airborne spectral reflectance data and quantitative XRD analyses, to resolve epithermal gold mineralisation. The potential of field portable FTI Rs and airborne multi-temporal, multi-spectral thermal data in resolving a range of alteration categories, minerals and unaltered volcanic rocks will be reviewed.
