Abstract
This seminar is about how to interpret and derive the linear Boltzmann equation from probabilistic tools, starting from the study of a particle that undergoes a Markov process. In the second part, we try to give a flavour of how to apply probabilistic tools to study the evolution of the position of that particle after rescaling space and time, obtaining a stable Levy process after a limiting process.
