- 👤 Speaker: Dr Michael Ramage
- 📅 Date & Time: Friday 28 October 2011, 15:00 - 16:00
- 📍 Venue: Engineering Department - **LR6**
Abstract
Thin-shell masonry structures can be built with little to no structural formwork. Research at Cambridge is developing materials and construction methods to reduce the embedded energy and improve the seismic resistance of these vaults. This talk will highlight some recent results and their application in building projects around the world.
Series This talk is part of the Engineering Department Structures Research Seminars series.
