Abstract
Our first screening of “The Economics of Happiness” was so popular and some people didn’t get the chance to see it, Cambridge Carbon Footprint, Transition Cambridge and the Arts Picturehouse are delighted to offer another screening on 19th Feb.
The “Economics of Happiness” by Helena Norbert-Hodge is an informative and inspiring film about the role of forces of both globalisation and localisation around the world. Set against a background of the lives of the people of Ladakh as their way of life is altered by contact with western capitalism, the film questions whether our current economic model is damaging our wellbeing, and whether localism can improve it.
Tickets can be booked in the normal way through the Arts Picturehouse box office. You can view the trailer and learn more about the movie here: www.theeconomicsofhappiness.org
