Abstract
Dr. Shershah Syed is an eminent obstetrician and gynecologist who has devoted himself to saving impoverished women in Pakistan.
Dr. Syed is the President of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Pakistan. He started a maternity wing at a public hospital in Orangi, Karachi which is one of the poorest parts of Pakistan. He is also trying to build another maternity hospital at a former madrassa also in Karachi.
