Abstract
Sir Tim Hunt, Ph.D., FRS , FMedSci, (Cancer Research UK, London Research Institute, Clare Hall Laboratories) studies the cell cycle. Tim was an undergraduate, graduate student and lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry in Cambridge, moving to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in 1992. Tim was awarded the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Paul Nurse and Leland H. Hartwell for their discoveries of protein molecules that control the division (duplication) of cells.
