Abstract
Peter McNaughton, Ph.D., (Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge) is a New Zealand‐born pharmacologist and Sheild Professor of Pharmacology and Head of the Department of Pharmacology in the University of Cambridge. He studies the mechanisms by which sensory receptors transduce stimuli into a nervous impulses. His current areas of research activity are magnetically sensitive neurons and pain receptors, known as nociceptors.
