Abstract
Capturing Value in International Manufacturing and Supply Networks – new models for a changing world
This year, the theme of ‘Capturing Value in International Manufacturing and Supply Networks: New models for a changing world” will examine how leading firms are responding to changing industry contexts, the growing involvement of multi-nationals from emerging economies and the need for more sustainable supply chains.
As usual, the first day of the event has a strong industrial orientation and will consist of presentations from senior executives from a broad range of firms covering Findus Group, The LEGO Group, Rolls-Royce and Wavin, amongst others. These industrial presentations will explore how firms are evolving to tackle these challenges including more collaborative approaches to global networks.
The second day is devoted to contributions from leading academics in the UK and abroad on these themes. The keynotes will be followed by presentations conducted by international manufacturing researchers.
