Parton distributions with LHC data
- đ¤ Speaker: Nathan Hartland (University of Edinburgh)

- đ Venue: Seminar Room B, Rutherford Building, Cavendish Laboratory
Abstract
An accurate and reliable determination of parton distribution functions is vital to fully exploit the potential of the LHC . However the LHC itself also has the potential to provide substantial constraints upon existing PDF determinations. Recent measurements cover kinematic regions that have been so far unexplored by experiment. We shall discuss the tools available to study the impact of LHC measurements upon PDFs and discuss a new NNPDF release including LHC electroweak vector boson production, and inclusive jet data: the NNPDF2 .3 PDF Set.
