Abstract
TypeScript aims to improve the development experience of writing and maintaining application-scale JavaScript programs. The TypeScript language is a superset of JavaScript, adding optional static typing to improve the tooling experience, as well as proposed EcmaScript 6 style classes and modules to help organize large programs. The TypeScript compiler is open source and translates to beautiful idiomatic JavaScript that runs anywhere.
