————————
Ornament displays convey important information about freedom from developmental adversity or disease and other aspects of mate quality to prospective sexual partners and potential rivals. The seminar discusses a range of human ornament displays including teeth and breasts and the potential manipulation of these displays through body modification. Individuals displaying high quality characteristics through these displays gain considerable reproductive advantage. The seminar outlines the impact of these ornaments on a range of sexual behaviours including partner attraction and retention. The additional influence of morphological constraints on sexual strategy selection is also considered.
