Abstract
Parodia and Notocactus are two genera of cacti (lumped as just one genus by some people), many species of which are popular in cultivation because of their attractive flowers, and relative ease of cultivation. They are found in South America: at least in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
