HAS THE USER FINISHED SPEAKING ? Catherine Breslin

Traditional dialogue systems use a separate voice activity detection (VAD) component to identify user speech and to guide turn-taking. This talk will discuss ways to better identify when a user has finished speaking so that a dialogue system can be more responsive.
