Abstract
Mitochondria are often called the “powerhouse of the cell”. This Tuesday you will have a unique opportunity to find out why, as Prof Sir John Ernest Walker, director of the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit and Nobel Prize Laureate, is going to explain to us how mitochondria work, how they evolved and what happens when things go wrong. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear an expert talk on these essential-for-life energy factories.
Everyone is welcome. Free for members, ÂŖ2 for non-members. Followed by refreshments (that means smoothies, cheese and grapes!).
