Abstract
In the face of global environmental degradation, we know humans feel the loss of environmental goods and services. But something less tangible, and poorly understood, is how a healthy environment nourishes human minds and souls.
Earthwatch are delighted to welcome Dr Wallace Nichols (California Academy) and Dr Ana Steffen (Valles Caldera Trust) to our 2013 Public Lecture Series chaired by Paul Rose expedition leader and TV presenter.
Join us to discover how an emotional connection with nature supports human well-being and provides our ‘sense of place’, and the important role this can play in inspiring conservation science.
Venue: The Royal Geographical Society
Reception 6pm, Lecture/Debate from 7pm, followed by a cash bar. Close 10pm.
