Abstract
Elliott More (CTM) and Carlos Lopez-Gomez (CSTI) are going to talk about their experiences of being involved in the UK Government’s Future of Manufacturing project. The Foresight project is examining the role of manufacturing both in the UK and globally over the next 40 years. The project is championed by Vince Cable (Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills) and will deliver policy recommendations in Autumn 2013.
In this talk, Elliott will present the outcomes of three international workshops where experts in US, Asia, and Europe were convened to identify major drivers of change that will impact the manufacturing sector. Carlos will discuss his experiences of attending the Asian workshop and the closely related work of CSTI on manufacturing futures.
Series This talk is part of the Manufacturing Research Forum series.
