'High Frequency Measurements of Carbon Nanotube Double-Quantum Dots
- 👤 Speaker: Ms Zoe Penfold-Fitch, Semiconductor Physics Group, Cavendish Laboratory
- 📅 Date & Time: Monday 17 June 2013, 14:15 - 15:15
- 📍 Venue: Mott Seminar Room, Cavendish Laboratory, Department of Physics
Abstract
Spin qubits defined in carbon nanotube quantum dots are an attractive alternative to those in GaAs, as the lack of a hyperfine interaction should lead to high coherence times. It is further expected that charge qubits should also display longer coherence and relaxation times.
The fabrication of controllable double dot devices in this material will be discussed, and the rf-reflectometry technique used to measure the devices will be explained.
Data that demonstrates microwave induced transitions between charge states will be presented, allowing a determination of T1 and T2* of charge qubits in carbon nanotube double quantum dots.
