In this talk, we discuss some recent progress on the uniqueness of gradient shrinking Ricci solitons asymptotic to conical metrics. The feature of our result is that no completeness of solitons is assumed and it holds for all dimensions. As an application, we prove the nonexistence of non-flat gradient shrinking Ricci solitons asymptotic to rotationally symmetric conical metrics. This is a joint work with Brett Kotschwar.
